From Student to Strategist: The EduSolv Journey
Chapter One: The Arrival
The plane touched down at Heathrow in 2006, and with it, a young international student stepped into uncertainty. That student was me—nervous, hopeful, and completely unaware that this moment would shape not just my education, but my entire career trajectory.
Those early days in the UK weren't just about mastering a language. They were about navigating a web of choices, expectations, and cultural adjustments that every international student faces. I felt the weight of decisions that seemed small but carried enormous consequences. Which course to choose? How to balance work and study? Where to find my community in a foreign land?
What I didn't realise then was that I was living the very experience I would later dedicate my career to understanding and improving for others.
Chapter Two: The Transformation
Education has a way of changing you from the inside out. As I progressed from student to professional, I began seeing the industry through different lenses—each role revealing new layers of complexity.
As an International Education Agent, recruiting students to study programmes all over the world
As an Education Provider, working with different institutions to manage students enrollments and establish global partnerships
As a Service Provider, working as the main connector between universities and their students
Each position wasn't just a job; it was a masterclass in understanding the ecosystem that shapes international education.
Chapter Three: The Scholar's Dilemma
By 2017, I faced a choice that would test everything I'd learned about balancing competing priorities. I started a Master's Degree at The University of London, but I also had a full-time career demanding my attention.
For two years, I lived in parallel worlds. Days filled with strategic planning and client meetings, evenings consumed by research papers and academic deadlines. The experience was exhausting, enlightening, and ultimately transformative. I wasn't just studying higher education; I was living its challenges firsthand while simultaneously working to solve them for others. Those late nights in the library, surrounded by textbooks while my phone buzzed with work emails, gave me something invaluable: a dual perspective that few in the industry possess.
Chapter Four: The Revelation
In late 2024, while going through a shift of changes in the university I was working for, something clicked. I'd spent nearly two decades moving through every major role in international education, and a troubling pattern emerged: Institutions were making the same mistakes, facing the same challenges, and missing the same opportunities—not because they lacked talent or resources, but because they lacked a strategic approach rooted in a wider industry experience.
The gap wasn't in the market; it was in the methodology.
The Birth of EduSolv
That revelation became the foundation of EduSolv Consultancy & Solutions, which does not intend to become just another consultancy, but a bridge between experience and innovation, between institutional needs and market realities.
I didn't just understand the student journey; I had lived it. I didn't just analyse commercial strategies; I had implemented them across every sector. I didn't just study international education; I had shaped it from the inside out.
EduSolv emerged from a simple truth: the most effective solutions come from those who have walked every path in the journey. Our consultancy wasn't born from theory—it was based on real-world experience of transforming dreams into destinations, challenges into opportunities, and institutions into global leaders.
Today, EduSolv stands as proof that sometimes the best way to solve tomorrow's problems is to deeply understand yesterday's lessons and today's realities.
"EduSolv was born from experience and built with passion. Having lived the journey from student to industry leader, I know that growth isn’t just about the destination but the path we take to get there. In my early 20s, I adopted my motto and have since lived by Dan Eldon's words: "The journey is the destination". This philosophy has shaped everything I do, and today, I empower institutions to embrace it too, turning vision into strategy and strategy into success.
